Rotator Cuff Injuries of the Shoulder

Rotator cuff injuries in the shoulder consist of a spectrum of problems from bursitis/tendonitis all the way to rotator cuff tears and arthritis. For most people this starts with pain in the shoulder often related to a minor injury or a certain activity. It is very common for the pain to occur while sleeping at night, and often it is hard to sleep on the affected shoulder. It is usually an age related wear and tear phenomenon that occurs in your early 40s, but can occur at any time especially if related to an injury or sports.
